While all their feathers are still all white, this Great Egret has it's breeding plumage, which you can see in the forms of the long wispy feathers on it's back and tail, and the green face. |
We think that this Great Egret may be the other Egret's mate, because they were both in breeding plumage and this one flew to the other one when we got too close. |
The Canada Goose in the foreground seems a bit jealous of the Great Egret's graceful flight and wings. |
