Steelworkers Park may be thee coolest park in Chicago. It's the former site of a gigantic steel mill. There are 3 mile-long, 20 feet tall concrete walls. In 2004, the waterway between the walls was filled with something like 135,000 pounds of mud from Peoria Lake. Today, it's a beautiful site that's great for birding, fishing, and just hanging out in nature.
