We drove out north to Skokie Lagoons (which are actually in Glencoe) to find a Limpkin that is all the buzz on eBird. We didn;t see the LImpkin but we did see an osprey at its nest, white tail deer, and a beaver. Also lots of beautiful Great Blue Herons. The Skokie Lagoons are super cool but they are a bit busy, especially on a Friday morning.
