On our way to Fullersburg Woods, my dad saw a sign on the side of the road that said "Salt Creek" in big letters. He drove in, and immediately we heard an iconic call. We tried to find the source, and then, there it was: a large (and loud) Red-tailed Hawk. It called from the tree that I spotted it in, then flew closer, to call loudly from another dead tree before flying away.
