My family and I have started a challenge for ourselves! We're going to try and see at least one bird of prey (or bop) a day for as long as we can! This is day 9 of our streak. It was mostly cloudy. Many thanks to the two birders at Calumet Park who kindly informed us about the Long-tailed Duck pictured above. The Red-shouldered Hawk and American Kestrel are below. We will also post other bops from this day from Northerly Island and Bridgeport.
