9.29.24 Hidden Lake, Downers Grove, IL

 Please be aware, this post has content of a Sage Thrasher with what is very likely Dry Avian Pox. The viral infection caused feet lesions and a wart-like growth that resulted in the blood on its stomach feathers because it tucked it's foot up into the feathers, bloodying them. We worked to report information about this injury. The last information was that the DuPage Forest Preserves was notified and would be investigating the bird on 9.30.24.
