Our journey next led us to one of the highest hills in Chicagoland. This was our first visit to the overlook at Greene Valley Forest Preserve. We met J. and got to talk to him about birding and the hawkwatch. It was so cool to see hawks and Turkey Vultures flying at eye level. We witnessed a Red-tailed Hawk predating. We are looking forward to returning through the fall to witness the hawk migration.
