The night before this day had around 7.8 million birds migrate over Cook county.

We saw even more Dark-eyed Juncos than the other species of Sparrow! They were everywhere, in big foraging flocks.

Red-breasted Nuthatches are irrupting this year. We have been seeing more Red-breasted Nuthatches in one day than in all previous years!
