On this day, my brother, father and I witnessed three sub-adult Cooper's Hawks calling at and following a Barred Owl. We watched for about 2 hours, as the Cooper's Hawks called at and flushed this Barred Owl. The last photos on this page are of the first Cooper's Hawk we saw. It was in a tree at McKinley Park before we found the two other Cooper's calling. The three Cooper's seemingly took turns provoking the Owl as we saw them flying in and out of the trees the Owl occupied.
