We headed off one morning to Orland Grasslands, in search of a white faced ibis. We took the long way and stopped at preserves along Hwy 45. Our first stop was Hidden Pond Woods, which does have a (partially at least) hidden pond! While there we saw wood ducks, the only duck species known to perch in trees. We also saw our first bluebird.
